You may have heard of The Lemp Mansion in Saint Louis if you have ever researched paranormal locations it is Voted the 2nd most haunted place in America so after watching enough Ghost hunters on t.v. Eric surprised me with a night there for my birthday! Sounds sweet right? Ugh! He had way more fun than I did 🙂
The tour itself was neat in my opinion, you walk around with a guide who goes room by room telling you stories about the Lemp family and history of the mansion. Most of the tour is done in total darkness so you can use those detectors. I would have been satisfied if the night ended after the tour 🙂
Some of the mansion does still have original furniture, art, decor but to be honest I couldn’t tell what was purchased recently and what was original to me everything looked haunted!
Make a packing check list otherwise you might have such bad anxiety that you forget to pack something to sleep in and end up wearing a dress, sweatshirt and slippers all night!
Many of the pictures we saw “figures” in the mirrors only, obviously that could be dust, smudges, reflections….or the Lemp family welcoming us for the night!
There were a few unexplained things that happened the night we stayed there which were a toilet flushing on it’s own, a pipe sounding like it was hit with only us in the room and my personal favorite which was the sound of the wine glasses being clinked together in the middle of the night which happened twice at two different hours.
We both recommend visiting the Lemp Mansion if you are interested in paranormal locations. I REFUSE to ever go back but Eric is REALLY pressuring me to, he said he just isn’t sure if he believes it’s haunted or not so he needs clarity, I don’t need clarity I am perfectly fine not going in there again!
